Designed by Flemming Lassen for The Cophenhagen Cabinetmaker's Guild Competition, in 1939, The Tired Man is a bearlike, overstuffed easy chair. With it's organic, curved form and vouminous armrests it created a sensation. Flemming Lassen suggested sitting in the chair should be 'as warm and safe as a polar bear cub in the arms of it's mother in the middle of the ice cap'. Covered in luxurious Sheepskin The Tired Man perfectly invokes domestic cosiness.
