The iconic PH Artichoke Suspension Light, the design classic designed by Poul Henningsen, celebrates its 60th Anniversary this year.
With a structure made of twelve steel arches, 72 'leaves' in twelve circular rows, with six blades in each row the production is both a vision of craft and beauty. This design allows for viewing the fixture from any angle with concealment of the light source located in the centre. The original PH Artichokes were developed for a restaurant in Copenhagen called the Langelinie Pavilion, and they are still hanging there today. 60 years on, this iconic piece of lighting remains an inspired and desired statement piece for the home, venue or workplace. A forever piece to pass through to future generations, this Henningsen creation is utterly timeless.
