The Case Loku Chair by Japanese designer Shin Azumi was designed with a three dimensional (3D) moulded veneer ply seat, making it both comfortable and supportive.
The moulded seat and back is made from a thin plywood veneer that can be shaped when heated into tight curves to stiffen the material. The chair was designed for both commercial and residential.
