Inspired by the soft, glowing shape of traditional Mongolian Pao tents


By keeping the aesthetics modest and simple design Naoto Fukasawa creates a beautiful everyday object that is in harmony with its environment. Pao’s base and shade are constructed from a resistant polycarbonate, with a smooth, high gloss finish, with the light source concealed inside the shade. Providing a diffused downlight, with a warm, homely glow, the compact, battery-operated lamp can easily be moved around the house or taken into the garden and other outside spaces. The lamp is available in different colour options.
