Launched in 1935 at the Copenhagen Cabinetmakers’ Guild Exhibition, The Tired Man is an icon of Danish design. The characteristically curved armchair was designed by Flemming Lassen to feel “as warm and snug as a polar bear cub in the arms of its mother.” Relaunched in 2015, the award-winning design is offered in plush upholstery, including sheepskin in a nod to the original, and with natural or dark-oiled oak heartwood legs and front brass casters for easy movement. A corresponding footstool ensures further comfort.
Lead times can vary, but we advise 2-3 weeks for lighting, 6-8 weeks for small furniture items and 8-10 weeks for larger or upholstered furniture.

Orders over £1,500 are delivered free of charge (excluding ex-display and clearance). Delivery charges for orders under £1,500 are calculated at checkout.

Collect In-Store
If you prefer to collect from our store on London Street, Edinburgh then please select this option at checkout. We will notify you when your order is ready and arrange a convenient time to collect.
All goods returned must be in an unused, perfect and saleable condition with the original product packaging and instructions if included.
If the goods do not reach us in this condition, then your right to a full refund may be affected.
